Dogri Language

Dogri is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in Indian states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and undivided Punjab. According to Grierson Dogri is a dialect of Punjabi and Kandyali, Kangra and Cameali are the sub dialects of Dogri. It was recognized as an "independent modern literary language" of India, based on the unanimous recommendation of a panel of linguists from the General Council of the Sahitya Academy of Delhi, on 2nd August 1969.
