Somali Language

The Somali language is a member of the East Cushitic branch of Afro-Asiatic language family. It is mutually intelligible with Afar and Oromo. The Somali language is spoken by ethnic Somalis in Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Yemen and Kenya, and by the Somali Diaspora. Somali is also the best documented Cushitic language.
